He is the chairman of the Lahey Ethics Section and is the immediate past chair of the Ethics, Law and Humanities Committee (a joint committee of the AAN, ANA, and CNS). He is a member of the AAN sponsored Brain Death Working Group with longstanding interest in end of life considerations.
