Dr. James Helzberg is a Gastroenterology Fellow at Duke University. He grew up in Kansas City before moving to North Carolina for his undergraduate studies. He graduated summa cum laude from Davidson College with a degree in biology before completing his medical school and Internal Medicine Residency training at Duke University. He has a clinical interest in both hepatology and esophageal disorders. Outside of work, he enjoys playing tennis, and cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs and Duke Blue Devils.
