She received her medical degree from the University of New Mexico, completed her Internal Medicine internship and residency at OHSU, and was an NIH T-32 post-doctoral research fellow within the Arthritis & Rheumatic Diseases and Pulmonology Divisions at OHSU as well as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of General Internal Medicine & Geriatrics before starting her clinical fellowship. She has a professional background in bioinformatics and has a research focus on finding molecular patterns and biomarkers in rheumatic diseases that can be useful in both diagnosis and treatment targets.
