Dr. Ian Cooley is a fellow in rheumatology at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, with anticipated completion of his fellowship in 2022. Dr. Cooley received his medical degree from the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine in Roanoke, Virginia, and completed his residency training in internal medicine at the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He also holds a Master of Science in biology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. 

Dr. Cooley’s research interests are focused on medical education and ultrasound, and presently he is a contributing editor to the NEJM Group Clinical Reasoning. He is a member of the American College of Rheumatology and the American Medical Association.
