Hyoun Woo Kang MD, PhD

Assistant Professor, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Dongguk University, Seoul, South Korea

Dr. Kang is a gastroenterologist at Dongguk University Ilsan Hospital and Assistant Professor at Dongguk University School of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology (Ilsan, South Korea) from 2009 to present. Dr. Kang specializes in colorectal diseases and gastrointestinal endoscopy. He obtained medical degree at Seoul National University College of Medicine and got MS and PhD of internal medicine at Seoul National University the Graduate School. He completed internal medicine training at Seoul National University Hospital and served as a gastroenterology fellow at the same hospital. Dr. Kang’s interests include epidemiology, pathogenesis, endoscopy , treatment and prevention of colorectal disease including IBD, IBS and colorectal neoplasm. He is an active member of several Korean GI organization and has authored over twenty journal articles and commentaries. He enjoys basic and clinical research about colorectal neoplasm.
