Hideki Furuya PhD, MS

He received his undergraduate education at Meiji University in Japan. He earned his PhD from Meiji University in Japan in 2009 and following this he started his postdoctoral training at Medical University of South Carolina and University of Hawaii Cancer Center. He became a faculty at University of Hawaii Cancer Center in 2015, and then joined Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in 2019. Dr. Furuya conducts research focused on developing novel therapies and diagnostic tests for bladder cancer, with a particular interest in urine-based multiplex assays for bladder cancer detection, monitoring, and prediction to treatments including chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
