Heather A. Frey MD, MSCI
Assistant Professor, Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, OhioDr. Frey is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the Ohio State University (OSU) Wexner Medical Center. She completed medical school at Northeast Ohio Medical University in 2007, and then residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Ohio State University in 2011. Her interest in clinical research was cultivated during fellowship training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Washington University in St. Louis, during which time she participated in a mentored training program to obtain a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation degree. Through this program, she received formal training in research design, statistical analysis, and epidemiology. She has used this training to continue to conduct and publish multiple studies as a faculty member, and serve as site-PI for a number of NIH- and industry funded multicenter randomized controlled trials. Dr. Frey also serves as the Director of Resident Research and Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship Director at OSU, which are positions that combine her passion for research and teaching. Dr. Frey is active clinically and regularly involved in patient care at multiple outpatient sites as well as on labor and delivery.
