Dr. Gwen Skloot, MD, ATSF is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Skloot is the Medical Director of the Pulmonary Physiology Program and has conducted research on airway hyperresponsiveness for the last 25 years.   This parallels her clinical interest in asthma.   Dr. Skloot has done clinical trials research as part of the American Lung Association Asthma Clinical Research Center and has participated in multi-center clinical trials related to therapy for severe asthma and for COPD.   She is the Immediate Past Assembly Chair of the Respiratory Structure & Function Assembly of the American Thoracic Society.
