He is the Director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit at the John Sealy Hospital in Galveston. Dr. Sharma’s clinical interests include sepsis, acute respiratory distress syndrome, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. His research interests focus on systems improvement in providing evidence-based care and health services research. He also serves as a training program director for the Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine fellowship. He is Editor-in-Chief of the journal Core Evidence.
