
Gui-shuang Ying MD
Associate Professor, Department of Ophthalmology, Scheie Eye Institute, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaGui-shuang Ying, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology, Director of the statistical consulting center in the Department of Ophthalmology, and an Associate Scholar in the Department of Biostatistics in University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. Dr. Ying received an MD in Preventive Medicine and an M.P.H. in Toxicology from China. In the United States, he received an M.S. in biostatistics from the University of Michigan and a PhD in Biostatistics from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Ying is the senior biostatistician or principal investigator for several large multi-center clinical studies of age-related macular degeneration and retinopathy of prematurity. Dr. Ying’s research interests include clinical trial design, statistical analysis of correlated data, statistical consulting and the development of prediction models.
