Associate Professor of Medicine, the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine, Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Heart & Vascular Clinical Research at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, MA

Gregory R. Giugliano has been practicing cardiology in Massachusetts for 18 years as an interventional cardiologist at Baystate Medical Center. He has actively been involved at the State level working closely with the Massachusetts Data Analysis Center as a member of the PCI outlier review and adjudication committees. He has been an active member of the Massachusetts ACC Leadership Council and Quality Oversight Committee for over five years. Greg was appointed as the Chair of the Massachusetts Quality Committee last year and serves on the National ACC interventional committee.

Dr. Giugliano has served as the Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Heart & Vascular Clinical Research at Baystate Medical Center for the past 8 years. His current academic appointment is associate professor of medicine at the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine. Following medical school training at Emory University he completed his internal medicine residency at UT Southwestern/Parkland Memorial Hospital. He attended the University of Colorado for general cardiology fellowship training. He completed his interventional cardiology training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and received his Masters of Science in Epidemiology at the Harvard School of Public Health. He is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Diseases, Interventional Cardiology, Peripheral Vascular Interventions and Vascular Medicine.

Dr. Giugliano has expertise in the treatment of acute coronary syndromes, antiplatelet/anticoagulant therapies, critical care cardiology, hemodynamic lesion assessment, coronary and peripheral vascular interventions, transcutaneous aortic valve replacement and clinical trials.
