Professor of Neurosurgery, Pennsylvania Hospital; Attending Neurosurgeon, Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaDr. Gordon Baltuch is Professor of Neurosurgery at Pennsylvania Hospital and an attending neurosurgeon at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He is the Director of the Functional and Stereotactic Neurosurgery Fellowship Program in the Department of Neurosurgery and Director of the Center for Functional and Restorative Neurosurgery in the Department of Neurosurgery at U Penn.
Dr. Baltuch is an active staff member at Pennsylvania Hospital as well as the Neurosurgery Section of Surgical Service in the Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Philadelphia, where he is also Associate Director of the Parkinson’s Disease Research, Education and Clinical Center.
Dr. Baltuch received his medical degree from McGill University in Montreal, where he also received his PhD in neurological sciences. He completed residency training in surgery at Montreal General Hospital, McGill University, and residency training in neurosurgery at Montreal Neurological Institute, McGill University. He completed his fellowship in neurosurgery at the Centre Hopitalier Universitaire Vaudois, in Lausanne, Switzerland.
