Clinical Pharmacy Specialist II, Medical Intensive Care, Yale New Haven Hospital, New Haven, ConnecticutGinger Rouse obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy from Duquesne University and completed her postgraduate pharmacist residency training at Yale New Haven Hospital, specializing in solid organ transplant. She has worked at Yale New Haven Hospital for 8 years where she is a clinical pharmacist in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) and is the Director of the PGY-2 critical care pharmacy residency program. Ginger’s professional interests include ICU management of end-stage liver disease, code blue events, alcohol withdrawal, and patient safety in the MICU. She has created several patient safety initiatives and improvements at Yale New Haven Hospital. She is an active member of the Connecticut Society of Health-System Pharmacists (CSHP) and served as the Junior and Senior Board Member previously. She is also a member of SCCM and sits on the patient safety committee.
