Dr. Kyriazis is an Assistant Professor at the Center for Metabolic Origins of Disease at Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute (SBP) and an Investigator at the Translational Research Institute for Metabolism and Diabetes (TRI-MD) at Florida Hospital. Dr. Kyriazis’ current research is focused on the role of extra-oral sweet taste receptors (intestine, pancreas, and muscle) in the regulation of nutrient metabolism and metabolic disease progression (i.e. obesity, diabetes).
