George obtained his Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from Western New England University, College of Pharmacy and went on to complete  PGY1 and PGY2 residency training in critical care at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. Following completion of his training, George went on to establish and advance clinical pharmacy services in both the cardiac (CCU) and cardiovascular intensive care (CVICU) units. Within each unit, he has worked to develop and implement evidence-based medication guidelines and standard operating procedures, has initiated quality improvement projects, and promoted interdisciplinary teaching. His areas of interest include anticoagulation management, quality improvement and medication safety, as well precepting and mentoring pharmacy and medical students and residents.
