Senior Scientist, Clinical Trial Unit, Swiss Paraplegic Center, Nottwil, Switzerland

After a master degree in movement sciences at the Swiss Institute of Technology, Zurich, Gabi Mueller finished a PhD in medical sciences at the Institute of Integrative Physiology at the Radboud University Nijmegen, The Netherlands (Prof. Maria Hopman). She currently works as a senior researcher at the Clinical Trial Unit of the Swiss Paraplegic Centre in Nottwil, Switzerland. To date she published 34 peer reviewed original articles in her research area, which mainly include exercise and respiratory physiology in spinal cord injured individuals. In 2011 she won an award for the best oral presentation at the ISCOS annual meeting. Her research is supported by several Grants, mainly from 'Wings for Life' research Foundation, Salzburg, Austria and the Swiss Paraplegic Foundation, Nottwil, Switzerland.
