His research focuses on outcomes of patients with chronic gastrointestinal disease and he has a particular interest in systematic literature review methods and meta-analyses. He was a recipient of the 2018 Emerging Liver Scholar award by the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease (AASLD) and is currently an AASLD Liver Ambassador. He is also a member of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) and the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG).
