Faramarz H. Samie MD, PhD

Dr. Samie serves as the interim Co-Chair of the Department of Dermatology and Director of the Mohs Micrographic Surgery at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. His research focuses on improving cutaneous reconstruction outcomes, developing high quality and efficient ways of delivering care to skin cancer patients and evaluating the utility of Mohs surgery in the treatment of various non-melanoma skin cancers. He is a graduate of SUNY Upstate Medical University. He completed his residency in dermatology at University of Rochester and fellowship in Mohs surgery and cutaneous oncology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
