Dr. Everett is an Endocrinologist and Health Services Researcher at Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She completed medical school at UCLA and then completed her Internal Medicine residency and fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism at Johns Hopkins University. During her fellowship she obtained a Masters in Health Science in Clinical Investigation and a certificate in Quality, Patient Safety and Outcomes Research from the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University.

Dr. Everett joined faculty at UCLA in the divisions of Endocrinology and General Internal Medicine & Health Services Research in 2019. Her research involves exploring and addressing barriers to care in vulnerable populations with type 1 diabetes. She has a particular interest in addressing inequities in access and use of diabetes technology. She has a K23 award from the NIH/NIDDK to evaluate the use of hybrid closed loop insulin pumps in those with type 1 diabetes and an A1c >9% in both an academic and safety net setting.
