Enrico Cagliero MD

Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and an Associate Physician at MGH, Boston, MA

Dr. Enrico Cagliero received his medical degree from the University of Torino, Italy, and then moved to the USA where he completed his internship and residency at the University of California, San Diego. He completed a fellowship in Endocrinology at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in Boston, Massachusetts and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology and Metabolism.

He joined the Diabetes Center at Massachusetts General Hospital in 1995, he is currently as Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and an Associate Physician at MGH. He divides his time between a busy clinical practice at the MGH Diabetes Center and clinical diabetes research. He is interested in novel therapies for diabetes, is the principal investigator of several clinical trials, both single center and multicenter, and is the director of the Inpatient Diabetes Management Program and the Director for Quality and Safety for the Division of Endocrinology at MGH. He has authored over 150 original reports, book chapters and review articles.
