Fellow, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MassachusettsDr. Emmett Kistler is a fellow in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. In addition to training in pulmonary and critical care, Dr. Kistler is also completing the Harvard Medical School CRICO Patient Safety and Quality Fellowship. He received his medical degree from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, New York. He completed residency training in internal medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital, during which time he served as chief resident at Newton Wellesley Hospital in Newton, Massachusetts.
Dr. Kistler’s research has been published in peer-reviewed journals including JAMA Oncology, Journal of Pain and Symptom Management, and Journal of General Internal Medicine.
Dr. Kistler is also a coach at the MGH Center for Physical Well-Being in Boston, where he serves as longitudinal support to trainees with a focus on goal-setting and maintaining well-being.
