Emily G. McDonald, MD, MSc, is a subspecialist in General Internal Medicine at the McGill University Health Centre, Associate Professor of Medicine at McGill University, and Scientist at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre. She completed a Masters in Epidemiology at McGill University, post graduate research training in quality improvement and patient safety at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, Ontario, and the Program in Clinical Effectiveness at the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health.

Dr. McDonald is the Associate Chair of Quality for the Department of Medicine, McGill University, and the Scientific Director of the Canadian Medication Appropriateness and Deprescribing Network. Her research focuses on drug safety and high value healthcare.
