Elliot Tapper, MD, is Associate Professor at the University of Michigan where he directs the Michigan Cirrhosis Program. Dr. Tapper is known for innovative outcomes research and landmark studies in the epidemiology of cirrhosis. His research, funded by the NIH and PCORI, focuses on improving clinical and patient reported outcomes for patients with chronic liver disease through clinical trials and quality improvement. He is Editor-in-Chief of Hepatology Communications.
