Eldrin F Lewis MD, MPH, FACC
Assistant Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, Cambridge, Massachusetts; Associate Physician, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston, MassachusettsDr. Eldrin Lewis received a B.S. degree in Pre-Medicine at Pennsylvania State University, an M.D. at University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, and Master’s in Public Health degree from Harvard School of Public Health. He completed his training in internal medicine and cardiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital followed by an additional year of subspecialty training in heart failure and transplantation. As a faculty member in the Center for Advanced Heart Disease at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, he manages patients with heart failure, transplantation and requiring mechanical circulatory support. He balances his clinical duties with his research, which focuses on quality of life, management strategies, and large clinical trials with over 70 publications to date funded through NIH and industry sources. He also serves in various leadership roles for the American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology, and he educates medical students as the Course Director of the Cardiovascular Clerkship.
