E. Jason Abel MD, FACS
Associate Professor of Urologic Oncology, Departments of Urology and Radiology, University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Madison, WSJason Abel, MD is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Urology and Radiology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He completed Urology residency training at the University of Utah and fellowship training in Urologic Oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Abel specializes in the surgical treatment of urologic malignancies including kidney cancer, bladder cancer, prostate cancer, testis cancer and penile cancer.
Dr. Abel is active in clinical, translational, and basic science research in urologic oncology. He has authored or co-authored over 75 publications in the fields of kidney, bladder, prostate and testis cancer. His laboratory research is funded by the National Institutes of Health/ National Cancer Institute and focuses on renal cell carcinoma signal transduction and tumor microenvironment.
