Dr. Derrick Tao is in Internal Medicine residency at Oregon Health & Science University, after which he plans to train in Hematology/Oncology.  Following his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from UC Berkeley, his work in translational cancer research at Brigham and Women's Hospital inspired him to attend medical school at Oregon Health & Science University to pursue a career in Hematology/Oncology.  His research activities have focused on health services and policy in benign hematology, with particular interest in hemostasis and thrombosis.  He has published work in JAMA Internal Medicine, Blood, The Lancet Oncology, and the Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis.
