Dr. Demetrios N. Simopoulos serves as Assistant Professor of Urology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He earned his M.D. from Tulane University School of Medicine and completed his residency in urological surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He practiced in rural California before pursuing Fellowship training with Dr. Leonard Marks at UCLA. His clinical and academic interests include MRI targeted biopsy, active surveillance and focal therapy to treat prostate cancer.
