Dr. David Tansey is a Specialist Registrar (SpR) in Endocrinology, Diabetes and General Internal Medicine. He has trained at a variety of university teaching hospitals throughout Ireland and is currently a Clinical Fellow in Obesity working with Professor Carel Le Roux at the Diabetes Complications Research Centre in St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin, Ireland. A gifted public speaker, Dr. Tansey has won a number of “Best Overall Presentation” awards at international meetings in Endocrinology and Diabetes.

Dr. Tansey was recently awarded one of only four National ASPIRE scholarship places to complete an MBA at the world renowned UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School. Dr. Tansey hopes that this combination of medical and management knowledge and skills will allow him to become a transformative leader at the forefront of healthcare innovation and reform in the future.

Dr. Tansey has a strong social conscience and has carried out a number of voluntary charity relief projects in India, Zambia and Uganda.
