David Furfaro is an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School and an attending physician in Pulmonary and Critical Care at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He received his undergraduate degree in chemistry from Duke University, and after college was served in AmeriCorps working in HIV Services at Ryan Chelsea-Clinton Community Health Center in NYC. He completed his internal medicine residency at Johns Hopkins and subsequently was an Assistant Chief of Service. He completed his fellowship in pulmonary and critical care at Columbia University. His clinical focuses are is Pulmonary Hypertension, and VV ECMO for respiratory failure, and he performs clinical research on COVID-19 ARDS. David is also the co-founder of the Pulm PEEPs, a pulmonary and critical care medical education platform.
