David Fleischman, MD, MS, FACS is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He serves as the director of the glaucoma fellowship and ocular trauma and is the interim perioperative medical director of UNC Hillsborough Hospital. After completing his medical training at Drexel University in Philadelphia, he performed his residency at the University of North Carolina, followed by a Heed Fellowship at the Duke University Eye Center in Glaucoma. He returned to join the faculty at the Kittner Eye Center of the University of North Carolina in 2015. Dr. Fleischman is married to Dr. Gita Fleischman, an ENT surgeon at Wake Med Hospital, and they have three young children.
