David Benditt MD
Co-Director of the Cardiac Arrhythmia Center (CAC) at the University of Minnesota Cardiovascular Division, Minneapolis, MNDr. David G Benditt received his undergraduate education in electrical engineering (BScEE) and his M.D. from the University of Manitoba, Canada. He completed fellowships in cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology at Duke University (Durham, North Carolina), and thereafter joined the University of Minnesota Cardiovascular Division where he established its Cardiac Arrhythmia and Syncope Center. Currently, Dr. Benditt is Professor of Medicine at the University of Minnesota. He is a former president of the Heart Rhythm Society (HRS) and of the American Heart Association - Minnesota Affiliate. Dr Benditt is a recipient of the HRS Pioneer in Cardiac Pacing and Electrophysiology award. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the Heart Rhythm Society, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Canada) and the European Society of Cardiology. Dr. Benditt’s current principal research interests involve the evaluation of syncope and related autonomic disturbances.
