Dr. Shahsavari is currently a gastroenterology and hepatology fellow at Medical College of Georgia.

Prior to his current fellowship, he worked as an Assistant Professor in Clinical Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia followed by a year of fellowship in GI Motility and Neurogastroenterology. His research interest has been mostly in gut motility and gastroparesis. He received his medical degree from Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary and completed his internal medicine residency at MedStar Harbor program in Baltimore MD. He is a fellow of American College of Physicians (FACP).
