Dr Daria Babushok is a physician-scientist and an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology-Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr Babushok laboratory conducts basic and translational research focusing on the immune pathogenesis of acquired aplastic anemia and the development of clonal hematopoiesis in acquired aplastic anemia and other bone marrow failure disorders. Clinically, Dr Babushok sees adult patients with bone marrow failure and familial myeloid malignancies at the Abramson Cancer Center of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and collaborates closely with colleagues at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Comprehensive Bone Marrow Failure Center.
Dr Babushok graduated from Bryn Mawr College and earned an MD and a PhD degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Pennsylvania. She completed the internal medicine residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital, followed by the hematology-oncology fellowship and a postdoctoral fellowship in hematopoiesis at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
