Daniel Canter MD
Assistant Professor of Urology, Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta, GADr. Daniel Canter graduated as the Valedictorian from the George Washington University School of Medicine in 2004 and completed his residency at the University of Pennsylvania in 2009. He then performed a Society of Urologic Oncology (SUO) fellowship in urologic oncology at the Fox Chase Cancer Center also in Philadelphia, finishing in 2011.
For the past two years, Dr. Canter has been an assistant professor of urology at the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta in the urologic oncology center. Recently, Dr. Canter returned to Philadelphia as vice chairman of both the Urologic Institute of Southeastern Pennsylvania and the Department of Urology of the Einstein Healthcare Network. He is also an associate member of the Fox Chase Cancer Center. The majority of Dr. Canter's practice is focused on the care of patients with both non-muscle invasive and invasive bladder cancer as well as other genitourinary malignancies. Dr. Canter is an active participant in clinical trials through the cooperative groups and the SUO clinical trials consortium. He has authored or co-authored over 80 peer-reviewed publications and numerous book chapters related to urologic oncology.
