Daniel Bessesen MD
Professor of Medicine, University of Colorado, School of Medicine; Director, Anschutz Health & Wellness Center, and Anschutz Endowed Chair in Health and Wellness, Denver, ColoradoDan Bessesen, MD, is Professor of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes at the University of Colorado, School of Medicine (CUSOM). He is also the Director of the Anschutz Health and Wellness Center on the campus of the CUSOM and the Anschutz Foundation Endowed Chair in Health and Wellness. He graduated from the UCSOM and did his internal medicine and endocrine training there as well. He practices general endocrinology at Denver Health Medical Center where he was section head for 20 years. He has done research on appetite, body weight regulation and the clinical problem of obesity for more than 30 years. He is currently the President Elect of the Obesity Society.
