Dr. Shaikh's journey in medicine began at Ziauddin University in Karachi, Pakistan, where he earned his medical degree. Subsequently, he completed his Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship at BronxCare Health System, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. During this period, he had the privilege of serving as chief resident and chief fellow.
Continuing his quest for excellence, Dr. Shaikh embarked on a year-long Advanced Endoscopy fellowship at the University of South Florida/Moffitt Cancer Center combined fellowship program. Throughout his academic and clinical career, his passion and research interests have gravitated toward third space endoscopy and gastrointestinal oncology.
