Dr. Christopher Rajkumar is a Medical Research Council funded Clinical Research Training Fellow in interventional cardiology at Imperial College London. His research is focussed upon the symptomatic response to revascularisation in stable coronary artery disease.

He was the first author of the randomised, placebo-controlled ORBITA-2 Trial which was published in the New England Journal of Medicine in 2023. He has also conducted the n-of-1 ORBITA-STAR clinical study, which seeks to identify predictors of response to revascularisation.

Dr. Rajkumar trained at Imperial College London and was subsequently awarded competitive academic foundation and academic clinical fellowship appointments in the North-West London training rotation before being awarded his PhD fellowship. He was recently awarded the Royal Society of Medicine’s gold medal President’s Prize for his PhD research.
