Dr. Chris Carswell is a cognitive neurologist at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and Imperial College Hospitals NHS trust (ICHT). Dr. Carswell has an active interest in the use of neurodegenerative biomarkers in the assessment of cognitive decline and hydrocephalus. He runs the ICHT neurology NPH clinic, chairs the ABN NPH specialist interest group and leads a Cochrane Review Group assessing the efficacy of shunting in NPH. Dr. Carswell holds an MRC CARP grant investigating the mechanisms behind shunt unresponsiveness in NPH. He is also Honorary Secretary and founding charity trustee of South of England Neurosciences Association.
