Professor of Dermatology and Chair, Division of Dermatologic Surgery, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota

Dr. Arpey is currently a Professor of Dermatology and Chair of the Division of Dermatologic Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where he assists with the surgical education for the residents and participates in Mohs and dermatologic surgery fellowship training. He was previously a faculty member at the University of Iowa from 1995-2010. He has been a current or former board member of the American College of Mohs Surgery, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and the Association of Academic Dermatologic Surgeons. He completed a 9-year term as a Director of the American Board of Dermatology in 2014. He has participated in direct patient care in a teaching setting for many years, with a particular interest in the care and treatment of patients with skin cancer.
