She went on to complete her MD at Penn State followed by an Internal Medicine Residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Gastroenterology Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. She is currently Assistant Professor in Dept of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Jefferson. She is also Associate Director of the Barrett's Esophagus Treatment Center and Associate Director of the Complex Colon Polyp Center. She has spearheaded a variety of clinical research in her fields of interests, mainly Barrett’s esophagus and small bowel bleeding. She has a passion for medical education and has earned several teaching awards including the GI Fellowship’s Attending of the Year in 2020 and The Dean’s Excellence in Education Award. She currently serves as the Gastroenterology Block director as well as a Case Base Learning Facilitator for the first-year curriculum at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. In 2021, she was named one of the Top Physicians Under 40 by the Pennsylvania Medical Society.
