She received her doctorate in biostatistics from the University of Washington. Her research interests focus on methods for prognostic modeling and studying long-term health outcomes in cancer survivors. She is currently the Principal Investigator of a National Cancer Institute funded grant to study and predict the risk of breast cancer in childhood cancer survivors who received chest irradiation. She is a recipient of the Gertrude M. Cox Scholarship and the David P. Byar Young Investigator Award from the American Statistical Association.
