
Charles G. Connor MD
Professor, Rosenberg School of Optometry, University of the Incarnate Word, San Antonio, TXDr. Charles Connor is a Professor at the Rosenberg School of Optometry at the University of the Incarnate Word. Dr. Connor is highly experienced Educator and researcher with over 30 years of experience in medical education. He has maintained an active research program in contact lens and ocular surface disease with numerous grants, book chapters, manuscripts, and presentations. Dr. Connor received his Ph.D. in Cell Biology from Temple University in 1982 and then completed a NIH postdoctoral fellowship at University of Texas Health Science Center Houston. He received his doctorate in Optometry in 1988 from the University of Houston and then taught and practiced at the Southern College of Optometry until 2011. He has served as a contributing editor of the Journal of the American Optometric Association and on the Editorial Board Optometric Clinical Practice as well as a journal referee for several medical journals including Ocular Surface. He holds a patent for hormonal treatment of dry eye. Dr. Connor is a member of ARVO, the AOA and Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
