Dr. Charenya Anandan completed her neurology residency at University of Toledo, OH. She subsequently completed a neuromuscular medicine fellowship at the Mayo Clinic, MN and a movement disorders fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine, TX. She practices movement disorders at Baylor College of Medicine and uses her unique training in evaluating complex patients with overlapping symptoms in these two different subspecialities of neurology. She also practices electromyography at the Michael E Debakey VA medical center in Houston. She has multiple peer reviewed publications and has given talks at local, national and international conferences. Her areas of interest include medical student education and evaluation/treatment of patients with Parkinson’s disease and incorporating ultrasound/EMG guided botulinum toxin injections in the management of focal dystonias.
