
Chantale Dumoulin PhD, PT
Professor and Director, Postgraduate Pelvic Floor Muscle Rehabilitation Program, School of Rehabilitation, Faculty of Medicine, University of Montreal, Quebec. Researcher, Montreal Geriatric Institute’s Research Center where she holds a Canadian Research Chair in Urogynecological Health and Aging Tier 2.Chantale Dumoulin is a professor at the School of rehabilitation, Faculty of medicine, University of Montreal, where she developed and currently direct Canada’s only university-based post-graduate pelvic floor rehabilitation program for physiotherapists. Concurrent to this, she is a published researcher at the Montreal Geriatric Institute’s Research Centre where she holds a Canadian Research Chair in Urogynecological Health and Aging. Her research accomplishments have focused extensively on the pathophysiology of pelvic-floor disorders using imaging (MRI, US) and muscle dynamometry, and the study of female urinary incontinence conservative management approaches using both randomised control trials and meta-analysis research methodologies. Finally, she is also a practicing physiotherapist specialized in pelvic floor dysfunction, a key influence essential for her patient-oriented research and teaching.
