Dr. Catherine Degesys is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Mohs Micrographic Surgeon at Mayo Clinic Florida. She is double board-certified in Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery. She attended Vanderbilt University for undergraduate and medical school, followed by completion of residency in dermatology at the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill. She then completed a fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology at University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Her research interests in cutaneous oncology include high risk patient populations, impact of skin cancer on quality of life, and the use of artificial intelligence in cancer algorthims. She has authored over 15 peer-reviewed journal articles and textbook chapters, and has spoken at regional and national conferences on the subject of cutaneous oncology.
