Dr. De Souza attended the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida for her undergraduate education, then graduated from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine with her medical degree. For her commitment to service, she was honored with the annual Community Service award and Compassion in Leadership & Service award by her medical school.
