Assistant Professor, Department of Emergency Medicine, University of Pittsburgh; Professor, School of Nursing, University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA

Dr. Suffoletto is an Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Emergency Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh and a staff emergency physician at a Level I trauma center. As a clinical investigator, he has developed a specific focus on designing and evaluating mHealth interventions that use time-varying health-related data to inform behavioral materials to influence health outcomes. He is currently a recipient of a K23 award from the NIAAA with a focus on advancing the science of adaptive mHealth alcohol interventions and a co-Investigator on an R34 from the NIAAA focused on testing a telemedicine and text message platforms aimed at reducing alcohol misuse among community college students. 

He has worked with many multi-disciplinary teams examining mHealth interventions, including for post-concussion care, medication adherence, risky sex, and hypertension care, as illustrated in the selected publications listed below.
