Dr. Chong is a gastroenterology fellow at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU). He received his bachelor of science degree at Northwestern University. He then graduated from Rush Medical College of Rush University, followed by internal medicine residency training at LAC+USC Medical Center. Dr. Chong currently serves as the chief gastroenterology fellow at OHSU, in addition to holding trainee appointments with the American College of Gastroenterology and Collaborative Alliance for Pancreatic Education and Research (CAPER). He will be pursuing an additional year of fellowship training in medical pancreatology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. His clinical research interests include early detection of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and outcomes of acute pancreatitis.
