Dr. Doft is Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and is a founding partner of Retina Vitreous Consultants, Pittsburgh. An author of multiple publications, he is actively practicing surgical and medical retina. Dr. Doft is a member of the Macula Society, the ASRS, and the Retina Society. A member of the executive committee for many years, he was recently elected to be President of the Retina Society. His primary research interest has been in endophthalmitis. Dr. Doft initiated and was the Study Chair of the multicenter NIH sponsored Endophthalmitis Vitrectomy Study.
