Prof. Dr. Aydin Sav has received his pathology degree in Istanbul University Cerrahpasa School of Medicine during the period of 1980-1984. Currently, he works as a tenure in Yeditepe University, School of Medicine, Istanbul. He successfully completed his administrative responsibilities as Department Head of Pathology and various tasks both in Marmara University (1989-2008), Acibadem University (2008-2015), and currently in Yeditepe University (2018-). His fields of interest include pathologic and molecular basis of brain tumors; use of digital transformation in diagnostic neuropathology, molecular pathology in neurooncology and pituitary pathology. Based on his research and fellowship training he has received several awards and honors, such as: experimental stroke models; diagnostic neuropathology. He serves as an editorial member of several reputed journals. He works as a peer reviewer for national and international journals. He has authored/co-authored more than 300 papers in clinical neuropathology and neurooncology, pituitary pathology articles and 30 chapters in different books. He is a member of Turkish Pathology Association, Ankara Pathology Association, International Society of Neuropathology, Çukurova Pathology Association, European Society of Pathology, European Federation of Neuropathological Societies (Euro-CNS), and American Association of Neuropathologists. Dr. Sav has supervised many medical students, residents, pathologists, researchers and post-doctoral fellows.

Dr. Sav's research interests include pathologic basis of brain tumors, use of digital transformation and diagnostic technics in neuropathology, molecular pathology in neurooncology and pituitary pathology.
